Hong Kong & Macau : Part 8 - Leaving Hong Kong for Macau

20072012 : Today, we are leaving Hong Kong for Macau! Yes, I bought my tickets to Hong Kong and fly back from Macau. I learnt this technique from my friends who are excellent travellers. Excellent in their arrangement and places of visit! I am so glad to know them. So, today, I am dressed in very striking colours that match amazingly well. I bought the top and the hat from Ladies Street and Fa Yuen Street. Since I have gotten very much tanned, my striking top was very contrasting against the colour of my skin. I LIKE!

This is where we stayed.

Today, I am trying a different kind of dish for my noodles. I had fried skin fish. It tasted better soaked in the soup. Not too crunchy. I was counting the balance of monies left in the pool fund. See, as long as you do not travel alone, you need to have a pool fund where these monies are used to pay food or transportation that is shared.

We walked towards the HK-Macau Ferry Terminal which was actually 10 minutes walk from where we stayed. It was that near! But the downside of it was the stairs. As both of us used the trolley kind of luggage, it was heavy carrying the luggage up and down the the stairs.

From the pedestrian bridge, we could see the view of.. I have no idea how to describe... the harbour? the buildings near the ferry terminal? That sounds kind of lame.

Another view is the Hong Kong Police Station.

The ticket counter for the ferry was located in Shun Tak Centre. It was a shopping mall too.

We bought our ferry tickets in Shun Tak Centre for HKD151 per person. The lady at the counter commented to her colleague said that I was from Mainland China and I am on my way to go back there. Her colleague asked how does she know I am from China? She replied - from her dressings.

I am not sure if that is a compliment? Well, I look exactly like someone from Mainland China. I do not think my dressing play that much of an influence! Haha!

The entrance to the ferry terminal. Only passengers are allowed.

And here is our ferry to Macau - the 12.10pm ferry.

Our ferry!

Inside the ferry, everyone had a seat. So no one is rushing. Well, there were seat numbers allocated on the ticket. The ferry has air-condition too. It was a 60-75 minute ferry ride.

Ta-ta, Hong Kong! I will visit you again one day for shopping ONLY.

In case you missed my earlier activities in Hong Kong, here are the list of my posts in Hong Kong:
