From Ngong Ping 360, we went to a wholesale market at Cheung Sha Wan Street, but that is pretty insignificant. Right after that, we were headed towards the Avenue of Stars. The view of Hong Kong and its signature buildings were lined up like dominoes in front of us.
We only took photos of the prints whose actors we recognised. And there were a few we know as we do not watch many Hong Kong shows. Haha! So, the ones that we know are the international names.
After walking from one end of the Avenue of Stars to the other end, we saw tall buildings. Again. I told my sister to take me against the background of the tall buildings. It shows that I am in Hong Kong!
While walking back to the initial start of the Avenue of Stars, I remembered seeing Jet Li, and I adore Jet Li during my younger days. So, I pestered my sister to look for Jet Li. We found it, and here I am with my idol. And look at me, burnt shoulders. What a contrast against my legs.
We waited till night to watch the Symphony of Lights. It was scheduled at 8pm. And was going to last for 15 minutes.
The Symphony of Lights started with an announcement that it is commencing. Then, the Samsung building showed in neon - Welcome to the Symphony of Lights. Music was being played. The lights shone, changed colours and blinked according to the tune of the music.
After the Symphony of Lights, we walked a bit to go to Sogo Departmental Store. For a meal break. And saw the Peninsula Hotel. How grand it was.
We went into Sogo and ate at Italian Tomato. Nothing fancy. Just a plate of spaghetti. And dried grated cheese. Plus a slice of blueberry cheese cake, and a glass of iced lemon tea. Shared by the both of us. You know money is tight when food is being shared.
And this marks the end of the day. It was a train ride, a tram ride and an uphill walk back to our place.
