Hong Kong & Macau : Part 5 - Disneyland

17072012 : Today is an exciting day! We are going to Disneyland! I imagined a world full of Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, lots of colours, lots of lollipop, balloons, kiddy food and somewhere that I will be a kid again.

Therefore, my attire for today is full of colours too! And I got it at the wholesale market after our trip from Ngong Ping 360. I painted my finger nails with a different colour each! I sleep late every night painting my finger nails to match my activities for the following day.

Today's attire enhanced my sunburnt shoulders from a lovely golden dark brown to a vandyke brown. If you have no idea what is vandyke brown, imagine a colour close to black. Haha!

We decided to have breakfast across the street from where we always wait for the tram. We peeked in to make sure it was a restaurant. Problem of being Mandarin illiterate. Haha!

For today, I had cuttlefish ball noodle. And my sister had wanton noodle. Their wanton (the big round thing) has more filling, and is tastier. And I had a cup of 'ying yong' (a mixture of coffee and tea).

My colourful finger nails which I heart.

The same line we took to Ngong Ping was the same line we took to Disneyland!  We stopped at Sunny Bay Train Station, and from there took the Disney Train to Disneyland.

In the train, there were little statues of Disney characters!

We have reached Disney Station! It was just a 10 minutes' ride.

This train station reminded me of Kuala Lumpur Komuter Train Station because of the roof, and the train station in a scene from Hogwarts because of the stars and moon.

Welcome to Hong Kong Disneyland Resort!

The queue was short. We got our tickets for HKD399 per person.

There was a security officer to check the bags before swiping the tickets.

And in we go to Disneyland! The words read - "Here you leave today and enter the world yesterday, tomorrow and fantasy."

The first place we entered into was Main Street, USA. This street reminded me of Universal Studio in Singapore.

There is a railroad around Disneyland. This is one of the two stations for the railroad. This one is at the entrance of Disneyland. The other one is at the other opposite end.

The first thing we did was to queue up to snap a photo with Mickey and Minnie Mouse!

In addition to you taking your personal photos, the workers at Disneyland also snapped photos of you with the Disney characters and you can view them here and you have the option to purchase them.

We walked into Adventure Land. In Adventure Land, we were going to see Tarzan's Home! We had to take the raft to the other side of the river.

Next land is Grizzly Gulch Land.

Next up is Toy Story Land. We took the Slinky Dog Ride.

Next land is Fantasyland.

We had lunch at the Royal Banquet Hall. We had seafood fried rice, and pork filled steamed in a pig face bun. Lunch was HKD133.

Since we are sharing our food, we had to split the last pig-faced bun.

We continued our walk in Fantasyland to watch the musical performance of Mickey. It was a 3D show, and so we were given 3D glasses.

We went into Fantasy Gardens to take photos with Disney characters. At this point, I was wincing in pain each time I removed my bag from my shoulders because the bag straps were scraping the burnt shoulders.

We went inside the souvenir stores and like all tourists, bought some souvenirs which is a bit pricey but I like to remember this place. I did snap some photos of the stuff I would love to get but I can only admire! Haha!

This is a limited edition of a Mickey Mouse watch which has only 800 pieces.

Some of the presents which I 'whatsapp' to my friends which I would like to get for them, but since it was pricey, the picture is the next best thing. Hehe.

Snow White's Castle where a fireworks performance is shown here at night. In Snow White Castle, there were statues of Snow White and the 7 dwarfs.

Next land is Tomorrowland, which I have never heard before in Disney. It turns out to be something from the future.

Next up was to take the train ride around Disneyland. We took the train from the second train station which was located in Fantasyland. We passed by some lovely Disney characters along the way.

The train stopped at the first of the train station.

We were waiting for the fireworks performance at 9pm, and so we took more photos. The Merry-Go-Round looks pretty with lights at night.

Snow White Castle beautifully lit.

Here starts the fireworks performance! It started at 9pm. Disney songs were being played from Aladdin to Beauty and the Beast to Lion King.

After 15 minutes, the fireworks performance came to an end. Everyone 'ooh', 'aahh', 'waaa' at the fireworks. It was a grand performance!

Goodbye, Disneyland! I did had a good time! You can never stop being a kid if you choose to take that 'kid' out.
