Singapore: Part 3 - Day 3: MacRitchie Reservoir, Chinatown

Day 3 - Went to Macritchie Reservoir. Walked on Chemperia Trail. Visited Chinatown in the evening.

Food
1) Indian lunch at a hawker food court S$18.30 - Murtabak chicken and a set of roti kosong, 2 cups of hot coffee and 1 Heineken beer 750ml

We had breakfast at a hawker food court but I did not take any photos or note down the prices so no illustrated costs here.

The Story
23012025: Today's morning activity is to experience MacRitchie Reservoir. The reservoir is Singapore's oldest reservoir and the first water supply system implemented in Singapore. Source from Wikipedia. I had good memories of my visit to MacRitchie Reservoir in 2011 where I did the tree-top walk but we did not do it this time as it would require a longer time.

We took a bus to the reservoir. We selected a short trail (Chemperia) and enjoyed the view of the waters and spotted animals - chameleons and many monkeys and birds - herons! I was lucky to have my sister as my nature guide who explained to use about the flora and fauna that we encountered. It made our trip even more worthwhile.

Our lunch is Indian food - murtabak chicken and roti kosong (plain bread) with coffee.

For dinner, we ate in Chinatown. I wanted to visit Chinatown to see the Chinese New Year decorations. A family relative treated us to dim sum at Yum Cha.
