01032014 - The next day, I woke up at 7am, while some woke up pretty early to see the sunrise. But from where we at, we could not see the sunrise. Only the sunset. Today, we have our breakfast at the food court, which is just next to the jetty. My friend told me that these two shops sell delicious 'nasi lemak' (translate - fatty rice, which is actually rice cooked in coconut milk, and accompanied with anchovies and chilli paste). The secret to behind this special nasi lemak is the rice is steamed. Yummy.
This is the dive center where my dive instructor works. The room on the right houses all the diving equipment and the one on the left is the office. Our dive instructor was not in sight yet.
Close to 10am, our dive instructor came and briefed us on what we were going to do today. She also told us how we performed yesterday. She commented on me too, but I can't remember what it was. Hehe. But no fear, I am good to dive after the 4th one. She also gave us the details of our first dive to be written into our Log Book. My first dive entry!
The group that went. Our group photo prior to the 2nd dive.
For our second dive, it was also a shore dive. So, we walked to the beach, and this time, I fully inflated my jacket to float. We saw a huge eel. It was pretty scary seeing the eel. It was eating the plankton. I removed my regulator and tried to get my photo taken, but I think it was not too clear. The regulator is the breathing apparatus.
This is used to hold the float to alert anyone on the surface that there are divers below.
An attempt to take a group photo in the waters.
We were out after about close to an hour. We were so hungry. Diving makes me hungry. Lunch was pretty simple for a plate of noodles. I think this is the biggest restaurant in Salang Village. It has two shops and is connected via a pathway in the middle. I slept after lunch and woke up in time for dinner. Tonight, we are sitting for our exams.
In the evening, we went to the jetty again. We saw lots of fishing activities going on. The catch is good, because if you remember my photo at the top where you see schools of fish surrounding a big pole, that is actually at the jetty. So, it was pretty quick to catch a fish. You can rent a fishing rod for about RM15 that comes with the necessary fishing stuff. As you can see, I don't know anything about fishing.
After dinner, it was time for our exams. There were 2 sets of questions - one for the quiz and one for the exam. So, the questions basically are somewhat similar with the Knowledge Review Section. Good thing the questions are all objective, A, B, C or D.

I passed my exams! I got 93% and 96%. Yay!
