The Summary of Meal Expenses is displayed in the next post, because in this post, all you will see is Mount Everest. Many angles of Mount Everest!
22092013 - We were awake at 5am. I was feeling better compared to last night. I did not feel nauseous. I did not have a headache. Both of us were good to go up Mount Kala Patthar. Today, we are going up on Mount Kala Patthar to see the sunrise from Mount Everest. At 530am, we walked out and did not see our guide. He told us that he will be sleeping in the dining room, and will definitely see him when we walked out. But, apparently, he got a room to sleep in because there were a few extras. Since we did not see the guide, I decided to go ahead (I did not want to miss the sunrise!). We walked up for a bit, and then he appeared. He was tired and woke up late. It is not dangerous walking by ourselves. Mount Kala Patthar is just opposite the lodge we are staying. Let me chronicle to you the time of each photo. You can see the difference in the skies.
I stood outside the lodge and snapped a panaromic view of the mountains around me. Unfortunately, I was not able to take a full panaromic view. Just half, because the lighting somehow went haywire in my video.
We just walked about 15 minutes from the base of the mountain. Can you see the blue roof?
The cute little plants we see along the way as we descend back to the lodge.
We reached the base of the mountain, and I could still see Mount Everest. It was identifiable by the clouds looming over it.

I stopped walking after 40 minutes. My legs were tired. I did not intend to climb all the way up to Mount Kala Patthar which is at 5545m. I just wanted to see Mount Everest. So, we climbed midway. It was a steep climb, like 45 degrees walk. If I were my knees, I will hate my owner.
There I see, Mount Everest. The tiny little rock in the middle. It looks short but that is because of the angle. There was no snow too. Apparently, the snow was at the other side. We waited for the sunrise from Mount Everest. The other mountains were getting a touch of the sun.

Here is a closer view of Mount Everest, with the clouds looming on top. The sun has yet to appear. According to the guide, it is because the mountain is high. Angle problem.

I make my memorable manicure in front of Mount Everest. Day 9 in Nepal. Day 8 on the trek. Look at the difference in the sky colour. From blue to white. That is because the sun has risen. But I did not see it appearing from Mount Everest.
7.09am
We went down 5 minutes later because there was no point waiting for the sun.
7.15am
The people who reached the peak of Mount Kala Patthar were making their way down.
