Terengganu : Part 5 - Evening Walk in Redang Island

Snorkelling on Island - Check!

Next up, tea time! Cakes and bun. And a bowl of red bean syrup! Yummy! I was so hungry after the snorkelling trip. I told myself that I need to stop eating because I need to make space for dinner! Then, I saw a squirrel grabbing the leftovers from another table! How cute the way it nibbles!

After tea, both of us explored the rest of the resort. We walked into some private huts, but did not see anyone. Saw nice view. Snapped photos. Make funny poses. Snapped photos.

Next, we decided to go into each resort within the vicinity to see what we may have missed out. Before that, time to slather myself with lots of suntan lotion because it was really hot. I did not want to get anymore sunburnt after my Hong Kong & Macau trip. And because I was so aggressive in slathering myself with the lotion, some of them went into my right eye. And goodness, that was when my eye starts to burn, tear and had to be closed all the time. I stopped at every tap I could see to wash my eyes.

We walked into the back lane of one of the resorts and found a tarred road! Wow! So, we decided to go on this road and see where it may lead us to. Well, it was not a long walk, because we saw two people passing us by in their jogging attire but not jogging... just walking. The walk led us to Laguna Redang Beach Resort which is owned  by Berjaya Group of Companies. Very posh place too.

Laguna Redang Beach Resort has their own jetty and quite a number of boats too.

One of the paths that led us inside Laguna Redang Beach Resort. I sat by the swimming pool, and also washed my eyes. Again. That was the 5th time I washed my eyes. And it was still stinging.

Walked out from Laguna Redang Beach Resort, and saw the most colourful place on the island! I have seen this house in a lot of photos taken by my friends. It is 'More More Tea Inn', apparently made famous by a movie in 1999. It was used as the main location for a successful Hong Kong movie - Summer Holiday starring Sammi Cheng and Ritchie RenThis Inn was initially designed as a temporary structure, but being temporary, obviously the set was unable to withstand the weather and rapidly deteriorated. Laguna Redang Island Resort did some works to restore the building.

It was in this Inn I bought my eye drops! Thank goodness for gift shops!

Walked up some steps to see other resorts. Saw a lovely view of the beach from another angle. Went inside a resort that has hammocks! I LOVE HAMMOCKS!

We walked back as it was almost dinner time. Dinner time starts at 6.30pm, I think. The brightly lit building is Laguna Redang Beach Resort.

I tried to snap a night view but I don't think my camera is very good for night shots, or maybe I am a lousy photographer. A lousy worker always blames his tools.

We walked back just in time for our dinner ... which was about 8pm. They were going to clear up by 8.30pm. It was barbequed food! Yums! After the meal, we sat on one of the beach chairs and talked, while listening to the waters quietly coming up to the shore.. and occasionally, the wind becomes strong, and I shivered a bit on the chair. We only spent about 30 minutes on the chair before I felt raindrops, and soon it became too strong ... and it was time to run back to our room!
