Bandung : Final - I miss you, shops!

The next day, we were out for more shopping. This is the hotel we stayed - Ciumbeliut. It's an apartment actually.

I love this photo I took with my friend. I like how my skirt flows down without any hitch. I didn't even realise how perfect it was until I saw the photo.

First stop was Amanda - famous for her steamed brownies which differs greatly from the common baked ones. Shelf life is just 3 days, and can last 2 days more if you put in the fridge.

The original flavour. If you do not go to an Amanda branch, the price will be slightly higher.

Cost Rp22,000 for the original flavour which is the top flavour for steamed brownies. The second best is tiramisu flavour for Rp31,000 and the third is cheese which is Rp45,000.

Our shopping begins again. This time at Pasar Baru. A 7-floor market. The first floor is for food, but the other floors are just clothes, shoes, bags. The key thing when buying is to bargain to half the price, and then increase slightly.

Cloths are sold at very cheap prices. This is a chiffon material. Rp11,500/metre. That is RM4.10. There is silk cloth, batik cloth, and cotton. At very cheap prices. I did notice that the most of the owners of the cloths shop are Indians or Pakistanis. Which made me conclude that cloths from India and Pakistan are even cheaper!

We had grilled fish for lunch. Pak Chi Met is famous for its grilled fish.

Went to a local snack shop.

This snack is normal crackers but sprinkled with chili flakes. It burns the throat for a while, and we were coughing for water.

Walked over to Heritage FOS.

Cascade FOS has fishes swimming!

All FOS has big benches to cater for the men. Look at our shopping bags! This is not even finished yet! Because very soon, we parted our ways to different FOS! How the legs ache. :-)

Scarf / bag for sale. The bag can be folded into a head scarf.

Final FOS is Rumah Mode (Mode House). This place has more branded goods than I have seen in other FOS. Like Gucci, Guess, Zara, Louis Vuitton, Minimal and the list is endless.

The place is huge!

Men queuing up for their ladies, carrying the bags with the clothings. All FOS has bags to put in the clothings you would like to try on.

See the T-shirt label - Shopping makes me happy. It sure does!

Our shoppings at the end of the day!

The steamed cakes we bought from Amanda!

The hotel concierge helped us to bring our shoppings to our hotel room.

Stored the steamed cakes in the fridge immediately! It's so unfortunate the shelf life is so short.

For dinner, we went to a local eatery.

After dinner, it was a walk down the streets along the old buildings of Bandung.

The next day, it was time for us to fly back. It is so unfortunate our shopping trip have to end so quickly. I would definitely find the opportunity to go back to Bandung! It's a shopping haven after Bangkok! I love the clothes and shoes I bought in Bandung.

As I think back of my trip in Bandung, I am missing it now! Mostly, I miss the company I went with. Writing can bring back the emotions and flashbacks of the trip. Sometimes, I can live in the memories again. Smiling to myself. Ahh, those were the fun days!

I shall look through my photo album and select my new destination to write on!
