Nepal : Part 22 - Royal Chitwan National Park (Day 3) - 20,000 Lake Safari by Jeep

29092013 - Today, we are ready for our jeep ride to see the 20,000 lake (which is located at the community part of the National Park) and do more birdwatching along the way. This is just for the first half of the day. It had rained the night before. So it was a cooling 15 minutes ride. We stood at the back of the jeep and I enjoyed the cold wind while my sister sighted some birds.

This is the entrance to the National Park. Sometimes, we were in the jeep. Sometimes, we walked because the jeep could not enter the area.

On the path, we see a dried up skin of a snake. I am supposed to be brave because I trek and hike in jungles and waterfalls, but no, I am not, I am still afraid of the wildlife and leeches. I am a girl. I am entitled to be scared.

An hour later, we see the entrance to the 20000 lake. This lake is named such because the lake is a distance of 20000 miles from the drainage that is connected from the Lake. After the lake watch, we were back on the jeep. And we see more birds. Most of the time, I see the birds through the video of my sister's camera.

At 11.50am, we were back at our lodge to have our lunch. And an elephant casually walks by because they just finished their bath. The lodge is located by the river bank. The elephant brought mosquitoes as it strolled by. My sister had garlic bread and it came literally with garlic. My noodle was a huge portion and tasteless, though. But it is okay. Just have to add lots of pepper.

After lunch, our next destination is to go on our elephant ride and to EBC, yup, EBC in the lowlands which is the Elephant Breeding Centre.
