Yogyakarta & Surabaya : Part 7 - Sunset at Jogja

So, after venturing the day in the Kraton, Tamansari and Malioboro Street, we were headed back to our hostel to catch the sunset view! So, the next series of photos are on the sunset. If you are bored, just scroll down or skip this post. It's a very short post on sunset and a bit of dinner and buying delicacies.. you know what, just read the whole post.. The taller mountain is Gunung Semeru.

Here, you can see the gradual setting of the sun which started at 5.26pm.

At 5.34pm, the sun has disappeared from the horizon. It took about 8 minutes and it seemed like forever.

We walked to a nearby stall for dinner. They sell Mie Ayam = Chicken Noodle and Bakso = Meatball.

I had Mie Ayam Komplit (which comes with the fried crackers) and my sister just had Mie Ayam. The bowl contains gudeg, meatballs and noodles.

After dinner, we went to a souvenir shop to buy some delicacies. This shop was complete with all the local delicacies. Their own-made Bakpia was apparently very famous. The walls were filled with testimonials of local artistes.

Then, it was a walk back to our Hostel. A very near 5 minute walk. We bought delicacies to stock up for our long ride tomorrow to Kawah Ijen! The next highlight of the trip!
