Sekinchan: Green fields and blue sky

I have finalised my trip to Surabaya and Yogyakarta. Lesson learnt: To not book trips during festive seasons. But my Guilin trip was right after Chinese New Year. I need not spend that much. And for this Indonesian holiday, it's twice. I guess, it's because Indonesia is really populated.

Anyway, I am going to write a post about my one-day trip to Sekinchan. This place is famous for its vast paddy fields. I went with my friends who brought a Japanese family along. I  have always wanted to go to Sekinchan and my wish has come true! Yay! My next wish is Kuala Selangor to see the fireflies. The weather was perfect - sunny and little clouds. Okay, so it was extremely hot but this was the perfect weather for photo-takings! Sekinchan is located about 2 hours drive from Kuala Lumpur. It is a small fishing village.

This sign says 'Welcome to the Fishing Village of Bagan Sekinchan'.

The weather was so hot, and this refreshing sour plum drink is so welcoming. We had seafood, and I did not eat much because of the over-whelming heat. The little girl in the Japanese family drew a picture of me. Notice the earrings in the drawings. :-) Just like mine!

After lunch, we visited the beach of Sekinchan. It was unique, because it has tree-houses! I love the tree-house. No one needs to climb any trees. There were wooden stairs for one to climb to the top. In the tree-house, there were hammocks for visitors to just lie down and enjoy the wind. They even had a chair attached like a swing for one to sit and swing themselves at the tree. The breeze was cooling.

I absolutely love your blog and find a lot of your post's to be precisely what I'm looking for. Would you offer guest writers to write content for yourself? I wouldn't mind composing a post or elaborating on a lot of the subjects you write regarding here. Again, awesome blog!
